What former students have said about the Intern Program
 I have learned a lot. A graduate program would be nice All of the training has been great and very helpful. I still have a great deal to learn and do. Now I have a good base to work with. The training has been so helpful I didn’t know what to expect, but I am thrilled with all the information I have been exposed to, You have given me a wonderful foundation to work from, Thanks for the vision. I have to say seeing the vast amount of possibilities there are out there was the most valuable. I learned more than I expected. The most helpful was learning how to organize my material. During this training I have found many ancestors on the census and ordinance records. I learned to clean up my files. I needed that. I am now ready to try research at the main library downtown. I found that learning to use census, military, and vital records was the most useful for me. With a new direction I hope to use the internet more in the searches. I have gained a new perspective working with PAF as well as internet sites. I have searched census and land records for my family. I should be able to answer questions more correctly that I get on my shift at the center. The most valuable to me was the training on PAF and PAFInsight. The most value I received was learning about so may resources available to actually do research in. |
